The Original RazorGuard Formula will swell the rubber micro fin (strip found below blades closest to handle) on the Gillette Mach 3 and 5-blade Gillette Fusion Razors. RazorGuard 5 will not swell these micro fins.

That depends on how offten you shave. Shaving 4-5 times a week it is approximately 3 weeks. The Razor should never touch the residue that builds in the bottom of the holder when resting on the ridges.
To clean simply pour remaining solution into drain or toilet and wipe clean with a tissue, then mount and refill.
